28 March 2007 – No Easter Egg hunt this year

Due to a lack of people-power we are sad to announce there will be no Choccy Egg event this year. Boo! Hopefully, the event will return in 2008.

13 January 2007

If you’re seeking to start your weekend with a fresh, cool, calm and collected skating event then look no further. Ok, we are back, bigger and more voluptuous than before.

We kick off at 10:30am for a roll around the park and return each week when the weather is dry!

7 October

Wow, what an amazing season of EZPZ in what has to be the summer of love! Remember the skate goes all year round (excluding the last two weeks of December) and relies on volunteers to run it.
Done the skate? Drop us a line at [email protected] with your feedback

16 July

It’s official we’re getting more and more adults joining the skate. We think this is because the EZPZ is the perfect start to a career in group skating and doesn’t involve any hills or traffic like the Sunday Roller Stroll Skate and London Friday Night Skate

24 May

No skate on Sat 27 May due to the Chelsea Flower Show car park overflow

3 May. Big brother is five years old!

The London Friday Night Skate will be five years old this Friday (5th May) and to celebrate the longest ever FNS will take place following the Monopoly route of London!

17 Apr. Egg hunters delighted

The second annual Easter Egg Hunt took place last Saturday and a fun time was had by all. We’re glad to report no-one went away empty handed – even the chocolate loving ‘big’ children!

29 Mar. Easter Egg hunt registration begins!

Check out the details above and then hit the “Registration” button

25 Feb. Famous people spotted on the skate!

[Fill in the blanks] In recent weeks we ‘ve seen B*b G**doff and J****y V***hn on the skate. Unlike the FNS we’re still waiting for our first Royal sighting!

16 Feb. Thirty mins “Intro to skating” lesson at 10am each Saturday

Meet at the start point of the skate for a session covering basic stance, going and stopping from a UKISA instructor. Cost is £5 payable at the start of your session.

8 Jan. Where to go after an Easy Peasy Skate

May we recommend the cafe, by the lake on the east side of the park?
In terms of skill level the next group skate is the Sunday Rollerstroll which kicks off each SUnday from Hyde park. Watch out, that one has hills!

14 May. 60 people join Festival skate

The second biggest Easy Peasy skate took place with dozens of newer skaters joining the fun. Send us your feedback if you came:
[email protected]

9 May. Easy Peasy part of NISW

This weeks skate is part of both the London Skate Festival, the London chapter of National Inline Skating Week . The entire week has a series of free and discounted lessons as well as several group skating events.

Tuesday 29 March

Hi People, just a quick line or 2 to thank you for organising the Easter Egg Hunt. We travelled down from Hull (near York in the North East) after seeing it advertised in the Guardian’s The Guide the previous weekend.

We camped at Lee Valley and had a complete blast all weekend, skating with you guys, visiting the Science and Natural History Museums, seeing Fame in the West End, and the Legends of Hip Hop on Sunday.

I’d heard of the Friday Night Skate some time ago but wasn’t sure it would be suitable for my 2 sons Floyd (9) and Billy (12). The Easy Peasy was just perfect. I can’t wait to show them the pics on your photos page.

Next time we’re down I think we’ll also do the Sunday Rollerstroll thingy too as the boys enjoyed it so much!

Thanks again for all your efforts, you organised a great event and
good luck with all your future plans!

Dee, Billy and Floyd

Hello there!

I attended a skate course in Victoria last year but haven’t practised at all
since then as I found skating on outdoor surfaces a lot different and quite hard and scary.

The easy peasy skate was perfect and I absolutely loved it and I’m all keen to take it up again! Thank you for organising something so fun!

Thanks again,

Farah

Saturday 26 March

Wow, what a skate! A sunny start to first ever Easy Peasy with over 100 skaters attending; some making the journey from as far as Eastbourne and Hull. After the park loop we explained the rules off the egg hunt – one egg per skater, maximum of two eggs.

But before the hunt began some parents were claiming THEY were under 13. After weeding them out and confiscating several fake “under-13” identification cards the kids skated off in search of chocolate.

See you next week at 10:30am for a double loop of the park.

Did you come? How did your day go? Write to us about your experience, from hearing about the event, buying equipment to skating the first ever Easy Peasy: [email protected]
